30. january 1972

Today is a day of remembrance. The history goes on, but certain things are still unchanged.
We say we live in a free world, but is that the truth? Even in the western world, people are being silenced and pushed to believe in a system who only push them down, make them sheeps in need of a strong shepherd. Why am I talking about this? It is to show that the history never really changes, we do the same "mistakes" over and over.
Did the people, who died by the hands of the English soldiers on this day in Derry, really had a choice?
They had felt discrimination every day, being the scapegoat and the one to blame for everything. their words were in vain, but their action showed us who they really was.
They chose to believe in something better than what they had, a divided land where the hate was growing in every garden and heart. They believed that there could be change, even in those dark days.
We must not forget, for if we do, those who died on this cursed day, died for no reason whatsoever.
So here's to the fallen...

REST IN PEACE
